As well as being a keen explorer and photographer, he has worked over 25 years in the sports industry, doing product creation and brand building for companies like adidas, ellesse, and odlo, making him ideally suited to manage all our marketing activities. WOJCIECH JAROSINSKI (POL)
Day Job: Head of Litigation
Skipper, mountaineer, climber, skier, kayaker and partner in a leading law firm in Poland, Wojciech is our key operations officer with a wealth of experience in the field and behind the scenes. As previous co-founder of Vertical Shot Expeditions and now co-founder of Expedition Cooperative, he has been key in the planning and running of almost all our expeditions. Wojciech is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
DAYLE PROWSE (CAN)
Day Job: Professional Engineer
As a structural engineer/marine architect, Dayle has worked almost exclusively in a marine environment with projects ranging from icebreaker ships, bridges, as well as offshore platforms and windfarms. It’s therefore no surprise that the ocean has the biggest pull when it comes to expeditions. RYA Competent Crew with sailing experience in all longitudes and latitudes from Tahiti to Indonesia to Patagonia.
GREG ANNANDALE (ENG)
Day Job: Software Engineer and Photographer
Greg has forged a remarkable career as a software engineer and educator, in between working as a divemaster in Egypt, a cycling guide in France, and (more recently) as an adventure photographer worldwide, shooting for clients such as Outdoor Photography Magazine, Visit Faroe Islands, Peak Design, Café du Cycliste and many others. Greg is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
DOMINIC BAC (POL)
Day Job: Arctic Sailing Skipper
Dom has skippered sailing yachts in all latitudes and has logged over 80k nautical miles in all seasons and oceans worldwide. In 2006 he skippered the youngest ever crew to complete the challenging Northwest Passage. Dominik's expeditions have been reported in detail by National Geographic magazines. Since 2002 he has run Grupa Outdoor Sail & Travel Agency where he specialises in indigenous tribes.
VLAD DONKOV (BUL)
Day Job: Professional Photographer
One of the founders of Vertical Shot Expeditions, Vlad has worked for clients such as HASSELBLAD, Outdoor Photography mag, Berghaus, The Royal Norwegian Embassy, Black & White Photography mag and many others. He has also given talks at The Telegraph Outdoor Show, The Edinburgh Photographic Society, The Royal Geographical Society, and TEDx.
MATEUSZ WRAZIDLO (SIL)
Day Job: Mechanical Engineer
Engineer by trade, explorer and botanist at heart. Since his early childhood Mateusz has been nurturing a passion for rare plants, particularly carnivorous ones. Co-organiser and member of multiple botanical expeditions to locations like Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, and Borneo, his works have been published in various academic journals, as well as National Geographic, and Geographical. He was also recently accepted into The Explorers Club for his contributions to botany.
SZCZEPAN TWARDOCH (SIL)
Day Job: writer
Szczepan, a successful novelist, connected with the Expedition Cooperative through a shared love of cold and desolate areas of the world. He is a sailor, RIB operator, and competent handler of rifles. Szczepan is as reliable an adventure companion as they get. To complete the picture, he has a taste for vintage cameras.
JASON NUGENT (CAN)
Day Job: Systems Admin/Writer/Photographer
Jason has worn many hats. At first a chemist in the 90’s, and for the last twenty years open source software development and systems administration. He is also a landscape and motorsport photographer covering WRC, WorldRX, and the Canadian Rally Championship. He is a Lumix Storyteller, an Altitude Sports Collaborator, and a member of the Travel Media Association of Canada. He also writes for travel publications around the world.
TOMASZ ŁOPATA (POL)
Day Job: Arctic Sailing Skipper
Tomasz has logged more than 170,000 nautical miles on more than 70 different yacht types. He has done multiple crossings of the Atlantic, Pacific, and the Drake Strait and participated in the 2015 Sydney Hobart Rolex Cup. He currently holds the record for furthest southern sail, reaching 78° 43.92' S with the crew of the SY Selma. Currently he owns and operates a charter business in the Caribbean.
JUSTYNA ŁOPATA (POL)
Day Job: Sailing Skipper and Pilot
Justyna has logged over 53,000 nautical miles on different types of yachts, from 65° 15' S in Antarctica to 66° 56' N in West Greenland. Justyna has sailed the Pacific Ocean from Chile to Australia, and from Alaska to Chile, non-stop. She also crossed the Atlantic in stages. Justyna has rounded Cape Horn several times and logged multiple crossings of Drake Passage. She currently co-owns and operates a sailing charter business in the Caribbean.
LARS SCHNEIDER (GER)
Day Job: Professional Photographer
For the past 20 years, Lars has worked as a professional photographer and has been published in magazines like Men's Health, GEO Saison, Runner's World, Sea Kayaker, National Geographic Germany, Outside and many others and worked for a wide range of commercial clients like Patagonia, Marmot, Garmin, Gore, Ecco or Canyon. Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Lars moved to Norway with his family to have more nature and wilderness right at the doorstep.
